Our Principal
Elizabeth Parsons
Dear Olde Providence School Families,
My name is Elizabeth (Lizzie) Parsons and I am honored to be the principal of Olde Providence Elementary!
I was born in Charlotte, NC, and graduated from South Mecklenburg High School. Following my passion for teaching, I attended East Carolina University, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I continued my studies at Winthrop University, earning a Master's in Educational Leadership and later a Doctorate in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Superintendency from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
Over my 22-year career, I’ve had the pleasure of taking on many roles—serving as an Assistant Principal, Literacy Facilitator, and classroom teacher within the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School District.
The Olde Providence staff and I are committed to creating a nurturing and supportive environment where every child can reach their full potential.
Olde Providence’s outstanding instructional program includes a committed staff, enthusiastic parent involvement, a climate conducive to learning, and the expectation of success for all our students. In partnering with you, our students will be on the road to endless possibilities.
Sincerely,
Dr. Elizabeth (Lizzie) Parsons, Principal
